On March 15 a friend and I drove to the nearby Buffalo National River in Arkansas to float 10.5 miles from Ponca to Kyle’s Landing. This run features towering bluffs, class I-II rapids, and is surrounded by wilderness so lots of great camping along the river. The water level was Mid-High at the time and usually isn’t flowing this much unless a lot of recent rain.
Probably preaching to the choir here mostly but please follow LNT principles when floating and use aluminum cans instead of glass.
If you have any questions about the float feel free to ask!
